How do I apply for a scholarship as an international student in China?
The method of applying for a scholarship offered by higher education institutions in China varies from university to university. Also, the list of documents required to apply differs. However, here is a list of documents that are generally required:
- Scholarship application form.
- Letter of acceptance from the university.
- Two letters of recommendation from your professor’s Copy of passport.
- Certified copy of your diplomas.
- Copy of physical examination certificate.
- English or Chinese language examination certificates.
- A research paper with a description of the study plan.
Conditions for obtaining scholarships in China
The applicant must be of non-Chinese nationality. In addition, he/she must not have been a scholarship recipient before. Bachelor’s degree applicants must present a high school certificate and be under 30 years of age.
Similarly, applicants for master’s studies must have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent degree in China) and be under 35 years old.
Finally, candidates for doctoral studies must have a master’s degree (or equivalent degree in China) and be under 40 years old.
